- Frequently Asked

Everything you need
to know, upfront.

Is the Level 2 Online fully remote?+

No - it is a hybrid format. Theory modules are studied online at your own pace through our portal, but practical assessments and the final exams must be completed in person at our Cheshunt centre. The qualification awarded is identical to the classroom Level 2 - same City & Guilds 2365 certificate.

Who is the Level 2 Online best suited for?+

Learners with some existing electrical knowledge or on-site experience who need flexibility around current employment. The online theory is self-paced and intensive - complete beginners without any prior exposure to electrical work typically do better on the in-centre 6-week full-time route (or 14-week part-time route).

Do I need to attend in person and how often?+

Yes - practical assessments and the final exams must be conducted in person at our Cheshunt centre. Typically you attend 4-6 practical days spread across your enrolment, plus the formal exam day. You book practical sessions when you are ready - they are available year-round.

How do I book practical days?+

Call our team on 01992 413 503 to book your practical sessions. Dates are subject to availability so we recommend booking 4-6 weeks in advance. Practical days run weekdays at the Cheshunt centre.

How long does the Level 2 Online typically take?+

Most learners complete in 4-8 months alongside a full-time job. The online theory portion takes around 80-120 hours of focused study; the practical days add 4-6 days at our centre. Portal access is available for 18 months from enrolment.

What equipment do I need for the online portion?+

A computer or tablet with internet access for the online theory modules and assessments. All tools, PPE, and materials for the in-centre practical sessions are provided at the centre.
