Hear directly from learners who used Learn Trade Skills to progress their electrical training route.
Came in with no electrical experience, left 13 weeks later with both my Level 2 and Level 3 certificates. The single intake-to-intake progression meant no gap, no re-applying. Already six months into my NVQ.
Did the part-time 28-week version while still working in retail. Saturdays were intense but the tutors were patient. Career-changed mid-course into an electrical-mate role at week 16. Best decision I have made.
Solid value vs booking levels separately. The full-time format includes the EAL Basic course which the part-time doesn't - that hands-on intro before Level 2 made a real difference for someone with zero background.

The 2365 Diploma Package combines the City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma (2365) and Level 3 Diploma (2365) in Electrical Installations into a single continuous classroom programme. It is the foundational route to becoming a fully qualified electrician in the UK and the required classroom base before progressing to NVQ Level 3 (2346 or 2357) and the JIB/ECS Gold Card.
The 2365 Package is £7,089 for both levels combined. Booked separately, Level 2 is £4,189 and Level 3 is £3,179 - £7,368 total. The package saves £279 plus the convenience of seamless intake-to-intake progression with no gap between levels and a single deposit / finance plan covering both.
No - the 2365 Package is the classroom base. To be classed as a fully qualified Installation Electrician (and earn a JIB/ECS Gold Card) you also need 18th Edition (BS 7671), City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing, NVQ Level 3 (2346) work-based portfolio, and AM2/AM2S end-point assessment. The Gold Card Package (£8,849) bundles the classroom qualifications, NVQ portfolio support and AM2 preparation; the external AM2/AM2S assessment is booked and paid separately.
Full-time delivery is 13 consecutive weeks (6 weeks Level 2 + 7 weeks Level 3) at our Cheshunt centre. Part-time delivery is 28 weeks total, suited to learners keeping a job alongside training. Both deliver identical City & Guilds 2365 qualifications - only the schedule differs.
You must be aged 16 or over with a good understanding of spoken and written English. Basic Maths (GCSE or equivalent) is preferred but not mandatory. No formal prior qualifications or electrical experience required - the Package is built for complete beginners and career-changers.
Finance is currently only available on the fast-track 2365 routes. For the standard 2365 Package, speak to an advisor about booking options, bulk bookings or employer-funded training.
