What Our Students Say

Hear directly from learners who used Learn Trade Skills to progress their electrical training route.

*****Yasmin R.
YR
5.0 RatingInspection & Testing (C&G 2391-52) — Online Study

Refresher for re-certification. Already held 2391-51 from a few years back. The £200 online theory was the right price point - I needed updated EICR materials before arranging assessment separately.

*****Michael R.
MR
5.0 RatingDomestic Installer Package

Left the office, joined the trade. Seven weeks in Cheshunt, first paid job the following Monday.

*****Sarah J.
SJ
5.0 RatingGold Card Pathway

LTS sequenced the Level 2 and NVQ around my work so I never lost a week of income.

to know, upfront.

What is included in the £200 fee?

The £200 fee covers online 2391-52 study-materials access only. Formal assessments are separate: the theory examination, practical examination, registration and certificate are not included in this materials-only price.

Does this include exams, registration or certificate?

No. This online route is study materials only. Exam fees, City & Guilds registration, certificate and practical assessment are not included.

Do I need 18th Edition first?

Yes - a current City & Guilds 2382-26 (18th Edition, BS 7671:2018+A4:2026) certificate is required before you can enrol on any 2391 course. Inspection and testing builds directly on Wiring Regulations knowledge. If you do not hold 18th Edition, choose the full online route (£99) or the classroom course (£489, 3 days). Existing holders who only need Amendment 4 can use the £49 refresher.

How does this compare to the classroom 2391-52?

The £200 online option is study materials only. The classroom 2391-52 is the in-centre qualification route at Cheshunt, with the formal assessment route arranged through the centre.

What condition codes will I learn (C1, C2, C3, FI)?

The online materials cover all four EICR condition codes in depth: C1 (Danger present - immediate action required), C2 (Potentially dangerous - urgent remedial action), C3 (Improvement recommended - not dangerous but recommended upgrade), and FI (Further investigation required). Correct coding is the single most-disputed part of inspection work and a major focus of the syllabus.

Will this qualify me to issue EICRs (the 'electrical safety certificate' for landlords)?

The £200 study materials alone do not award a qualification or certificate. You must successfully complete the required theory and practical examinations to receive the City & Guilds 2391-52 certificate, alongside meeting any wider competence, registration and scheme requirements that apply to the work you undertake.

- Ready to advance?

Start the 2391-52 study materials when you are ready.

Use self-paced online materials to revise the theory. Exam fees, registration, certificate and practical assessment are arranged separately.
