Does the weekday route include the NVQ workplace-assessment stage?

Yes. After classroom learning, the NVQ workplace-assessment stage is completed through suitable paid electrical work. It can take up to 2 years depending on your job role, accepted evidence and portfolio progress. LTS can support with CV guidance, job-search preparation and readiness checks, but a job or placement is not guaranteed.

Who is the weekday part-time route best for?

It is best for learners who want a part-time electrician course but can attend daytime weekday training instead of Saturday and evening classes. It suits career changers, improvers and working learners whose rota or commitments make weekdays easier.

What evidence does an ECS Installation Electrician Gold Card require?

ECS currently requires a JIB-recognised Level 3 apprenticeship or competency-based qualification, a current ECS Health, Safety and Environmental Assessment and recognised BS 7671:2018 evidence for its Installation Electrician Gold Card. The exact qualification and gateway depend on the applicant route. ECS and the JIB determine card eligibility; buying or completing this package does not guarantee a card.

How much can I earn as a Gold Card electrician?

The National Careers Service publishes a broad electrician salary range, but that is not a Gold Card salary guarantee or an LTS learner outcome. Actual pay depends on role, grade, hours, location, employer and contract. Self-employed turnover is not personal earnings. Review current vacancies and applicable JIB rates for your target work before making a financial decision.

You can pay a deposit first to secure your place, then pay the remaining balance by instalments across the course length. How does the Gold Card Package compare to just doing Level 3 2365?

Level 3 2365 on its own is a technical classroom qualification, not proof of occupational competence or ECS Gold Card eligibility. This package adds the listed Level 2, BS 7671, Part P, 2391 and workplace-assessment components. Whether those are the right complete route depends on the learner history, target card, mapped Level 3 competency qualification and external assessment confirmed before enrolment.

Does the Part P component qualify me as an electrician?

No. ECS states that Part P refers to company registration for Building Regulations compliance in England and Wales and is not a universal requirement for individually qualified electricians. A short Part P course does not qualify someone as an electrician. It is a package component here and does not replace the required Level 3 competency route.
