What About Government Funding for Essex Residents?
Government programmes such as Skills Bootcamps, Advanced Learner Loans, the Adult Education Budget, and Essex County Council grants do exist — but they come with significant limitations. LTS does not offer any government-funded training, loans, grants, or free courses. All LTS courses are fee-charged.
- Skills Bootcamps — free for unemployed learners, but electrical bootcamps are rarely available in Essex and places fill quickly when they are.
- Advanced Learner Loans — cover Level 3+ qualifications at certain providers, but come with interest charges, a weeks-long application process, and restricted provider choice.
- Essex County Council grants — periodically available for skills shortage occupations, but sporadic, competitive, and not guaranteed.
- Adult Education Budget (AEB) — strict eligibility criteria mean most employed adults do not qualify.
Why most Essex residents choose LTS: Cheshunt is just 15 minutes from Harlow and easily accessible from across Essex. You can start training immediately — no waiting lists, no funding applications, no uncertainty. 0% interest payment plans, no credit check, and a structured pathway to Gold Card. For a full comparison, see our funded electrician training guide.
Payment Plans (LTS)
If you do not qualify for government funding, or prefer to start immediately, LTS offers 0% interest payment plans on packages and diploma courses with no credit check. Deposits are £1,000 for packages and £500 for standalone diplomas and fast-tracks. The payment term depends on whether you study full-time or part-time — for example, 4 months (full-time) or 8 months (part-time) for the Gold Card Package classroom training, plus NVQ which takes up to 18 months on-site. Short courses (18th Edition, I&T, renewables, etc.) are paid in full at booking.
Open Days
LTS holds open days on the first Saturday of every month at 10:30am. Tour the facilities, meet the team, and get a personalised career recommendation. No booking required.
