This City & Guilds Level 3 Triple Award is a professional training programme designed for qualified electricians who want to develop competence across electric vehicle charging, solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, and electrical energy storage systems (EESS).
This programme brings together three separate City & Guilds Level 3 awards, allowing learners to build knowledge and practical skills across multiple low-carbon technologies.
Training covers the design, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of EV charging systems, solar PV installations and battery storage systems, in line with the latest BS 7671 Wiring Regulations, IET Codes of Practice and relevant industry standards.
Note: This course is not suitable for beginners or those without recognised electrical qualifications.
This course provides the knowledge and practical understanding to design, install, and maintain domestic and small commercial EV charging systems safely and effectively.
Learners will cover:
By completion, learners will be fully equipped to install EV charging systems to City & Guilds and ECS CPD standards, meeting current IET and DNO requirements
This course provides an in-depth introduction to solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, covering design principles, installation best practices, testing, commissioning, and maintenance.
Learners will explore:
Integration with energy storage systems (EESS) and EV charging.
This course covers the essential knowledge and practical skills required to design, install, test, and commission small electrical energy storage systems in line with current industry standards.
Learners will cover:
By the end, learners will be able to design and install EESS systems safely and effectively, meeting City & Guilds and ECS CPD standards
Entry Requirements:
Learners must hold a NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) OR current Competent Person Scheme (CPS) registration (e.g. NICEIC, NAPIT).
Evidence is required prior to enrolment.
