Our Level 3 Electrical Energy Storage Systems Course is a City & Guilds Approved qualification designed for qualified electricians who want to gain expertise in the design, installation, and commissioning of small electrical energy storage systems (EESS).

This specialist CPD course provides the knowledge and skills required to work safely and competently with modern battery storage technologies used in domestic and small commercial settings.
 Learners will gain hands-on experience in battery systems, inverters, and integration with renewable technologies, following the latest IET Code of Practice for Electrical Energy Storage Systems (3rd Edition) and BS 7671:2018 (Amd.3:2024) Wiring Regulations.

This course provides an in-depth understanding of battery energy storage systems, their design, installation, and operation within both standalone and grid-connected environments.

Learners will explore:

  • Key legislation, safety standards, and documentation for EESS installations.
  • The principles of battery storage, types, and configurations.
  • Design and installation practices for domestic and small commercial systems.
  • Safe isolation, inspection, testing, and commissioning procedures.
  • Integration of EESS with solar PV, EV charging, and smart prosumer systems.

Training aligns with the IET Code of Practice for Electrical Energy Storage Systems (3rd Edition) and relevant MCS and PAS 63100 fire safety standards.
