D.E.I. – Domestic Electrical Installer

Individuals partaking in the course will go through an introductory 9 days of lessons designed to equip you with the knowledge and practical skills to be compliant in Part P of the building regulations and be awarded the LCL Domestic Electrical Installer Certificate. With this introductory course you will be able to carry on to study our other courses.

 

Who Is It For? 

This electrical course is for individuals who want to be a Part P registered domestic electrical installer in order to carry out kitchen fitting, plumbing, heating engineering or building and needs to engage in some electrical work as part of their job, such as, installing power to a boiler, shower or cooker.

Who is it for?

Our Level 2 Electrotechnical Craft Diploma is for those who have completed our Professional Course and has embarked on the route to complete their Level 3 qualification, an NVQ Occupational Assessment and then on to AM2 to become a qualified electrician.

It is for anyone aged 18 and above regardless of their experience however LTS suggests that you complete our Professional Course as this is necessary to proceed to an AM2 assessment. Also we suggest candidates to complete our Professional Course in order to be able to do electric work and start earning money and be able to financially sustain further studies/

Who is it for?

Our Level 3 Electrotechnical Craft Diploma if for those naturally progressing from their Level 2 Diploma. With our Professional Course qualifications in your inventory, this course will enable you to proceed towards completing your NVQ Occupational Assessment and then an AM2 assessment to become a qualified Electrician.

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (Coming Soon)

Who Is It For?

The NVQ Level 3 Occupational Assessment is for electrical installers and inspectors who have previously completed a Level 2 and Level 3 Electrical Installation course of either one of the following 2330, 2360 or 2365 or equivalent qualifications and wish to become a qualified Electrician.

Depending on whether you have 5 years of experience on top of the Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications, you will be designated to either 2356/46 or 2357.

Please note that you must hold the latest 18th Edition Wiring Regulations before embarking on this course.

By completing the NVQ programme, individual candidates can progress in their career and apply for JIB grading Gold Card and also can join NICEIC, NAPIT, ELECSA, ECA.

 

Duration

No fixed duration
A minimum of 6 months to a maximum of 18 months is needed to complete this unit
A few days learning within the training centre and the rest of time is at the individual learner’s place of work

 

Candidates who enroll on NVQ Level 3 Assessment will:

Prove they have learned and gained the experience to be able to establish certain electrical circuits within their place of work.
Candidates will learn and exemplify how to comply with health and safety on the worksite by following  compulsory guidance from their workplace.
Candidates will demonstrate that they can inspect and test all kinds of electrical installations in line with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
At the end of the course candidates will complete their NVQ portfolio and an accredited individual will sign its completion.

Who is it for?

This package is for those who have the ambition to do both Level 2 and Level 3 Electrotechnical Craft Diploma  at a discounted rate. We offer this package course as we know most candidates would want to complete both courses together.

This course is designed for you if you have completed our Professional Course and have embarked on the route to complete both Level 2 & 3 qualifications, an NVQ Occupational Assessment and then on to AM2 to become a qualified electrician.

Candidates must be 18 years old and above and ideally will have basic Maths and English GCSE grades.

  • Design, prepare and install electrical wiring systems &
  • Prepare and install associated equipment in buildings and structures

This is in accordance with approved industry practices, statutory and non-statutory regulations.

At the end of the course you may wish to carry on your studies by discussing with your course manager what options you have. You will have the option to pay an extra fee to upgrade to another course package.

No you don’t! We have all sort of packages available to cater to all sorts of learners. We recommend buying the Comprehensive package for starters. Some courses are directed at more experience learners so please check before starting.

Currently all courses are scheduled for the weekdays. Depending on the course you will be taught between 8:30 – 5:30

Depending on how busy the awarding bodies are it can take anywhere from 2 weeks up to 2 months to receive your certifications.

We have fridges in the centre for those who like to bring their own food. Alternatively there are nearby stores and restaurants that it can be purchased from.

We have followed government regulations and have made sure we fully comply with all safety measures at our training centre. Smaller classes, plastic panels, face masks, routine sanitising are some of the things that are observed. Call in for more information.
